Dolina Siedmich prameňov leads from Tatranská Kotlina to the only hut in the Belianske Tatras — Plesnivec (1,301 m a.s.l.). Limestone instead of granite. Quiet instead of Palenica. Yellow is short and steep.
💡 In a nutshell – Plesnivec:
For whom: Half a day, a child on foot, a first time in the Belianske.
No chains. There is 669 m of ascent on a short distance.
Dog: Strictly banned (TANAP nature reserve regulations). HZS is billed.
Trail description: Springs, then steep
Stage 1: Šumivý prameň
From Čarda blue-green to a bubbling spring. Forest, calm, not yet the hut.
Stage 2: Čierna voda and yellow
A turn onto yellow. Here it gets serious: 3 km and most of the climb. Limestone, roots, zigzags.
Stage 3: Chata Plesnivec
The only hut in the range. A view of Bujačí vrch and the Belianske cirques. Green descends more gently to Šumivý and Kotlina.
Logistics and practical information
Start: Tatranská Kotlina, on the road to Tatranská Lomnica. Parking looser than at the TEŽ.
Ticket: TANAP.
Winter: Usually open to the hut. Do not confuse it with closures on the higher ridge trails.
Dog: Banned (NPR Belianske Tatry reserve).
Belianska Cave: There is a famous show cave in Kotlina (separate tickets and walking approach), but it is not on this trail.
Who is this absolutely NOT for?
Not a pushchair. Not a “flat valley like Chochołowska” — yellow is steep. If you want the ridge and one-way Monkova, take Široké sedlo. If you want a larger lake on this side of the Tatras, take Zelené pleso.
Yes. Plesnivec stands alone. Do not confuse it with Chata pri Zelenom plese — that one is already in the High Tatras.
Is the trail open in winter?
The valley to the hut usually yes. The ridge over Široké sedlo closes under TANAP from 1 November to 31 May.
Are there chains?
No. It is steep, especially on yellow. A child on foot yes, a pushchair no.
Can I bring a dog?
No. Under TANAP regulations, Dolina Siedmich prameňov (both yellow from Čierna voda and green) is subject to a strict ban on pets due to the Belianske Tatras Nature Reserve.
Can I continue to Široké?
From the hut on green / red yes, but that is already one-way logistics and a separate card. The tiles return to Kotlina.

Mała Łąka Valley from Gronik: Wielka Polana, quiet, Giewont in view. The tiles are there and back. The Przysłop loop and the chains on the summit dome have other pages.
